Englishman's Bay, Tobago

 

 

Paul-Robert Pryce is a native of Trinidad and Tobago, and has been pursuing his career as an actor in the United States since 2005. Some of his highlights to date have been appearing in HAMLET with Paul Giamatti at the Yale Repertory Theatre, playing OTHELLO at the Yale School of Drama and originating the part of Rob X in the John Prescod’s new play PRE-DISPOSAL.

 

Paul is a proud alumnus of H.B. Studio in New York City and the Yale School of Drama in New Haven, Connecticut.

 

In 2010, Paul established a theatre company called Scarlett Project, dedicated to the production and creation of West Indian art and theatre. Scarlett Project has produced the Caribbean plays SMILE ORANGE and RUM AND COCA COLA to date.

 

Aside from the theatre Paul is also a screenwriter and producer. He has written and produced the short film COME OUT, COME OUT and is currently working on other film projects in various stages of development.

 

Paul is also a director of Caribbean In-Transit; an online Caribbean Arts journal that chronicles the movers and shakers of the visual and performing arts in the Caribbean and across the world.

 

He has a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Marketing and has worked in mass communication and advertising in Trinidad and Tobago before becoming an actor.
