Originally from Washington, D.C., Ethan Heard is a third-year MFA candidate in directing at the Yale School of Drama, where he has directed Sondheim and Lapine's Sunday in the Park with George, Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar, Justin A. Taylor’s Rodeo and Martha Jane Kaufman’s Eligible Receivers. He is Artistic Director of the 2012-13 Yale Cabaret, where he previously directed The Future Gone Out of Business, Lovesong, Basement Hades, and Trannequin! a new musical, which he co-wrote. As Co-Founder of Umbrella Hat Productions, Ethan presented the inaugural Santa Fe Theatre Festival in 2009 and directed Proof and Iphigenia and Other Daughters. Other directing includes The Gay Ivy (Dixon Place), Ardo Ardo and L'Orfeo (Yale Baroque Opera Project), Pullman WA and in a word (Williamstown Workshop), In Bocca Alla Lupa (Grotto Theatre), and Episcus & Edendus (Lively Productions). He has assisted directors Nicholas Martin, Mark Brokaw, Thomas Kail, Gilbert Blin, and Annette Jolles. As an undergraduate at Yale College, he won the Sledge Prize for Performing Arts and toured the world with the Whiffenpoofs, singing more than 200 concerts in 25 countries. A great landing page. Lovely photo of you and great additional photos as teasers. On the bio, please edit:
Put a comma after Yale School of Drama in the first sentence.
Put "Shakespeare's" in front of Julius Casear - it is important to emphasize your experience with the bard.
Cut the phrase "world premieres" - we are not lowed to call student productions of new work by YSD playwrights "world premieres" - the reason for this is obvious - professional theaters will want those bragging rights when they produce these plays. I recommend you include the authors' names on these as well.
You might say "Yale College" rather than just Yale, don't you think?
